Practical exam contents

Free Creativity

Two works will be evaluated:
a table centerpiece conceived by the candidate, and a personally designed decorative piece.
Each work must use at least three different sizes of Sempertex balloons, including twist balloons, all of which must be prepared and provided by the candidate.
Participants must be able to clearly explain the theme, concept, and intended use of each work.
In addition, candidates are required to submit a cost form and a marketing proposal for one of the two works.

Total: 30 points

Design creation time: 1 hour
Submission and explanation of the cost form and marketing proposal: 30 minutes
Total: 1 hour 30 minutes
Please note the following:
The venue will not provide bases, poles, or any other structural materials used for the works; candidates must bring all necessary items themselves.
For works primarily made with latex balloons, the use of additional materials such as foil balloons, dried flowers, and tape is permitted.
Electric inflators, hand pumps, and sizers will be provided at the venue.

Decoration at the request of the judges

Candidates may receive the following request from the judges:
Please create a total of three works in real time, using only the latex balloons provided.

One work demonstrating various column techniques and their applications(Maximum score: 20 points)
One work using Link-O-Loon balloons or an applied design incorporating Link-O-Loon(Maximum score: 20 points)
One organic design work(Maximum score: 20 points)

Total: 60 points

The time allowed to create the three designs is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Please note the following:
All designs must be created using only the latex balloons provided at the venue.
Electric inflators, hand pumps, and sizers will be provided at the venue.

How to use basic tools

The proper use of tools, such as electric inflators, hand pumps, and sizers, will also be considered an evaluation criterion.

Total: 10 points

Important Notice

Please arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
Sempertex-appointed judges will conduct the evaluation in accordance with the standards established by Sempertex.
To obtain certification, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 85 points to pass the examination.
Candidates may be disqualified if any unsportsmanlike conduct, such as interference with others, is observed.

Applicants seeking to obtain the Master Balloon Professional certification are expected to adhere to the following code of ethics.

MBP Code of Ethics I will act promptly, with respect, integrity and professionalism.
Delivering the work agreed with the client, taking into account using the necessary materials to carry out a professional job (quantities, sizes, colors and references).
I will be environmentally responsible, disposing of materials in the indicated places, taking into account the recommendations suggested by Sempertex.
I will express my opinions on the work of others in a constructive and respectful manner.
I will not use work or projects developed by others to promote myself or profit from it. If I use images from third parties, I must obtain their prior authorization and state the copyright.
I will not practice unfair competition.

Five Steps to Obtain the Master Balloon Professional Certification

▶︎STEP 1: Document Screening

Please check the event date and venue, then complete all required information using the document screening application form.
Applicants are also required to submit examples of their previous works using latex balloons.

▶︎STEP 2: Payment and Official Registration

Applicants who pass the document screening will receive payment instructions.
Please complete the payment via credit card or bank transfer.
Once payment is confirmed, your official registration will be completed, and a registration confirmation email will be sent to you.

▶︎STEP 3: Participation in the Pre-Examination Seminar

Although optional, we will hold a seminar designed to support candidates preparing for the certification examination.
By participating, you can learn key examination points and receive hands-on practical training.

▶︎STEP 4: Training Through E-Learning

We will provide e-learning materials that allow you to study the fundamentals online.
Please review these materials and engage in self-study, and use them in combination with the seminar for more effective preparation.

▶︎STEP 5: Take the Examination

On the day of the examination, please arrive at least 30 minutes early and ensure that you do not forget any required items.

It has been decided that the exam evaluation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, starting at 13:00.
